Accountant

The hospital is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Accountant to join the Finance Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting processes, ensuring compliance with statutory and organizational requirements, and contributing to the efficient financial management of the hospital.

What you'll do

• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Process payments and reconcile bank accounts.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare and monitor departmental budgets.
• Ensure compliance with tax and statutory obligations.
• Assist with payroll reconciliation and financial audits.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and inventory records.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Prepare financial analyses and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with hospital financial policies and procedures.
• Perform any other finance-related duties assigned by management.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA(K) or ACCA qualification.
• At least 3 years' relevant accounting experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Kenyan tax laws and statutory compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
